BOSS Lubricants Announces Price Increase Effective April 15th, 2026
BOSS Lubricants has notified customers of a price increase across its product lines, effective April 15th, 2026. Lubricant products will see increases of up to 15%, while grease, DEF, and antifreeze products will rise by as much as 25%. Shell Lubricants and TotalEnergies products carried by BOSS will also increase.
Shell Canada Products confirmed a price increase of up to 15% on its lubricants, including Shell, Pennzoil, and Quaker State branded packaged and bulk products, also effective April 15th, 2026. TotalEnergies Marketing Canada separately announced an increase of up to 16% on its lubricant and grease products, effective April 1st, 2026.
BOSS attributes its increase to rising costs for base oils, blending components, and packaging materials, driven largely by the ongoing conflict in Iran. Since many Group III base oils used in synthetic lubricants are refined in the Middle East, the company is also anticipating tighter supply across the industry in the near term. Shell and TotalEnergies cited similar pressures, including market volatility, supplier cost increases, and broader geopolitical developments affecting raw materials, transportation, and packaging.
As part of the announcement, BOSS noted that customers will be limited to purchasing no more than 110% of their historical monthly volumes during this period.
